We have made many improvements to Credit-Aid Pro 9.  We have added many exciting features, more content and over 100 letters. It does far more than any earlier version.  We know that you will enjoy it.  As a result of the many changes, the data is being saved differently in Pro 9. 

How do I know what version of Credit-Aid Pro I already have? 

Run your old Credit-Aid Pro Software.  On the start page is a green icon for License Information.  Click there and you will see your version information.  If you do not have this green icon, that means you have a much older version.  If so, log into any client, click on ABOUT and you will see the version information.

How do I save my client list from my old Credit-Aid Pro Version? 

If you have version 7 or earlier, you cannot save or export your client data.  However, those versions are very old, so this usually won’t be an issue.   
If you have Version 8.  Please follow these 3 steps:

  1. On the start page of Credit-Aid Pro 8, click the green icon for “License Information.” Write down the exact Credit-Aid Pro 8.x version number that you have.

  2. For additional insurance, please create a Client Backup Zip with the Backup/Restore tool on the start page of your software.  Save that zip to a safe place.  But remember, it’s for your OLD version (and not for Version 9), but keep it in a safe place with a note to yourself that its fof the old credit-aid pro version 8 (and not for version 9). When you're done, close Credit-Aid Pro 8.

  3. Download this utility:  www.credit-aid.com/updates/ExportCSV.exe For alternate link click here
    *If your download freezes, you may need to turn off your firewall.  Also try link #2 for the zip. 

  4. Run the utility, and Export the Pro8ClientProfiles.CSV to your desktop.  Make sure you see the file and know where it is.

Will I save all letters and data from my clients?

No, only the client list will import.

I have a Client Portal.  Will my old client data and letters remain there?

No, your portal only shows exactly what is in your software.

I have completed these steps and I am ready to Install Version 9

Great! Please run your Credit-Aid 9 Installer.  If you cannot find it, please look in your download folder…or download again from your download letter.   During install, it will remove your old version.  Don’t worry, because we have saved everything possible. 

I have installed Credit-Aid Pro 9. Now how do I import my Client Profile CSV? 

Once you have Installed and Activated Credit-Aid Pro 9:

  1. Click on the CLIENTS tab (on the top center of the program).

  2. Click on “Import CSV” and locate Pro8ClientProfiles.CSV on your computer (Hint:  It’s wherever you saved it, probably on your desktop).

  3. Select (or unselect) the clients you wish to import and click the button that says “Click to import”

Congratulations!  You have now imported your client list.  Your imported clients will be and you’re ready to return to the start page of the software, and start using new Credit-Aid Pro 9.

What do I do with the Client Backup Zip and the CSV file?

The client backup zip is not of any use.  It’s for your old version. We only saved it in case you were not able to install version 9. 
The Pro8ClientProfiles.CSV is not much use either, because your new Credit-Aid Pro 9 already has CSV import/Export.  The nice thing about CSV Export is that you can export to other programs, like QuickBooks, etc…and Credit Repair Cloud.

How do I save my client list from my old Credit-Aid Pro Desktop Software? 

If you have version 7 or earlier, you cannot save or export your client data.  Those versions are very old, so this usually won’t be an issue.   
If you have Version 8.  Please follow these 3 steps:

What will export from my old software and my old client portal?

The only thing from your previous Credit-Aid Pro Software will export is the client list, plus the name, address, SS# and other basic info you entered into each "client profile page" That is all that you will see when you export your client list from the old software to CSV. Nothing more.

If you have some other special info you wish to copy from your old software, you can log in and copy paste to Microsoft Word, etc,. That data is not compatible with the new cloud system.

What about my data in my portal?

the portal is a reflection of the software. It shows what's in the software. If you're going to discontiue using the software, you shoul also discontinue using the portal.

Where is my new portal?

Your new portal will be built in to your Pro User (or Higher) Cloud Plan. Clientsand Affiliates log into www.secureclientaccess.com with no more subdomains or complications. They just enter user ID and Password and they are in. Only your logo and company info displays. You can see a demo here. www.secureclientaccess.com and login as client/demo and affiliate/demo. Your new portal will not have any info from your old portal. Once you import your clients, you can click to send them new login details for your new portal account. The new portal is much nicer (and has no extra fee). .

Can I keep my old software ad portal and the cloud acct?

Yes, if you keep the old software live, then we cannot give you an upgrade discount. This is like trading in a car. Imagine you are trading in a VW for a Ferrari. You trade one for another. If this worries you, then the other option is DO NOT Upgrade. Keep the old software, start new clients with the cloud...and transition slowly.

  1. On the start page of Credit-Aid Pro 8, click the green icon for “License Information. This will tell you if you are running Version 8 or not. This utility will export your client list to CSV. Now you can close your pro software.

  4. Your clients are now saved. We are adding CSV import to Credit Repair Cloud in mid January 2013. If you dont see that option in your Credit Repair Cloud Account (on the Client Page) contact us the support tab in your cloud account if you have trouble or questions.
